Pick-up service noon (COVID): very good. Big portion. Inexpensive at <€ 10 for a main course. My leg of suckling pig was great. But the highlight was the soup - excellent.

In addition to the excellent food, all requests are catered for. Professional and perfect. What should be emphasized is the hospitality and the welcome. Thank you very much 😀

The food has not been so good for a long time

A very well run restaurant where we like to come and where there is fantastic food for everyone. Kudos to the kitchen, it couldn't be better. 👍 We'll be back.

We made a reservation there for lunch last week. Very courteous service, a fantastic view and the menu was actually a pleasure, as we were wished for with every course. We'll be back soon.

MAXIMUM ENJOYMENT ABOVE THE ROOFS OF FOREST CHURCHES We were at JOHANNS three times within 2 days. We tried everything and everything was excellent. Lunch - the menu offered for 29.00 euros - was fantastic. For the main course you could choose between fish or meat and I was allowed to choose something vegetarian. The afternoon coffee with cake and 1 glass of sparkling wine is pure pleasure. The other day, dinner - you can't even begin to describe it, you have to experience it yourself, with all your senses. Alone, when you see the plates, you sniff and then the absolute pleasure. I could just as easily imagine the restaurant itself in London. "Roof Garden" has modern furnishings, an open kitchen and the most important thing: nice, motivated young people who have the saying on their lips: No problem, we can do it. AND HOW TO GET THAT IT! We picked out the Johanns because it made the best impression of the timing and the vegetarian menu. We came from a hike lasting several hours, had reserved a table beforehand by phone and only found out that the last order acceptance for lunch is at 1.30 p.m. On the website we have understood that you can order until 14:30. We were welcomed, taken off his jacket and headed to the table. About the food: As others have already mentioned, we were served by all the service staff. Since we had asked when ordering whether those were the only two vegetarian dishes, one waitress knew that we wanted to eat vegetarian. Another service employee didn't know anything about it and initially brought cream cheese and bread, one type of bread containing bacon. If you were only served by one service person, that might not have happened. The side salad was great - I've rarely eaten such a good salad. The main courses were very tasty, beautifully presented to the eye, but after a hike with a subsequent Kohlhampf the portions were a bit small. Otherwise we cannot complain and enjoyed the view.

Everything great! An experience for the senses

We went for lunch today and it was just amazing. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The food was just in a class of its own. We will definitely go back.

Today we were able to enjoy an excellent lunch menu, a real feast for the palate and eyes with a courteous and friendly service and at a great price-performance ratio. In addition, the magnificent panoramic view! A real holiday highlight with a need for repetition - absolutely recommendable.

Update 10.02.20: Still absolutely an amazing experience. Lovely lunch menu. Also a great experience for the kids. Johanns has a special kids menu, and the ability to order smaller portions from the main. The department store has a great play area for children,that's something to keep in mind. Thanks again. This restaurant which is located in the top of a department store, has some of the most beautifully prepared and presented foods I have had in a long time. The 5 course meal is perfect for a special night and the service is top. Small selection of Whiskys and spirits, great selection of wines from different regions. Parking is available close by in a parking lot. Reservations required for the weekend. @Johannes: Thanks for the special night! We will definitely be back.

Today enjoyed a quick lunch on the terrace. The steak was delicious, the service very accommodating and friendly. Price performance TOP as well as the view.

1 year later still great and highly recommended :-) We ate very well on Thursday. The service was very accommodating. The food was of excellent quality and with great attention to detail prepared. Also to be highlighted is the very good price-performance ratio. For such a 6-course menu with comparable quality I pay a multiple in Munich. The only downside is the location of the location. We are looking forward to another visit.

We were in Schwarzkirchen for a short Easter vacation. Then we looked for a 'better' restaurant on the Internet to celebrate my 50th in peace. We would never have suspected such a restaurant in this area. To make it short ... Everything was perfect, from the very friendly welcome to the very professional service, which I have long missed in the catering trade. A perfect meal with refined starters and desserts as well as excellent wines ended this evening with my family perfectly. Should I be in this area again, a new visit would be a must!
